Hey 🙂
I recently facilitated a four-day strategy session with the owners at The Question First Group. We worked hard — heads down, deep in the business — and it wasn’t until the very end that I asked them this:
“Let’s say it’s three years from now and you’re personally earning a million dollars from the business. What are you doing with that? How is your life significantly different? What drives you to want it — what does it actually give you?”
I saved it for last deliberately. I wanted everyone to be clear — for themselves, and for each other — about what we’re each working towards. It’s the thing that ties your personal goals to the business goals. Without it, the strategy is just numbers on a page.
Here’s what I know about myself: I have one major goal that drives everything. If I can achieve it, it will be a huge unlock for my family. It requires the business to succeed — and the knock-on effect will be a massive transformation at home.
I know mine. But do you know yours?
So here’s the prompt for you this weekend:
If you were personally earning a million dollars from your business — what does that allow you to do? What changes about your life?
Sit with it. Don’t rush it. See what comes up — and notice how it makes you feel about the week ahead.
